Lady Lenzie aka The Heirloom Kitchen Gardener combines her love of kitchen gardening with her vocation as adviser to several charitable and philanthropic organisations. Her allotment in North Kensington, London is an edible oasis of curious and ‘old world’ heritage fruits and vegetables all grown from seed. For this she has received multiple awards. Lady Lenzie’s passion is to encourage as many people as possible – be they school children, young professionals, unemployed or pensioners – not only to learn the magical art of food growing skills but to reap the rewards of their labour. For her, this often means giving away established plug plants.

The allotment has also been opened to help raise funds for horticultural charities, has volunteered with a London based charity training young people to gain skills in horticulture; and helping the charity with preparation for their show garden. Lady Lenzie is an 2023 RHS Community Champion.
